Milan v Napoli Preview

AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati is predicting a thrilling encounter when his team host in-form Napoli on Monday. The Serie A leaders beat Chievo 2-1 last weekend to remain three points clear of second-place Napoli. “It’s going to be a wonderful game,” said Abbiati. “I think the stadium will be packed. Napoli are having an incredible season and they are proving that by getting continuity in results. It’s not going to be easy but this is a very important game for us.”Massimiliano Allegri’s men have not lost at home since falling 1-0 to Roma on December 18.

Napoli striker Marek Hamsik has warned AC Milan to expect a battle when the two sides meet at the San Siro on Monday.
The azzurri travel to Milan knowing a win could see them join the Rossoneri at the top of the Serie A standings. Last weekend’s 1-0 triumph over Catania was Napoli’s third straight win and kept Walter Mazzarri’s men in second place, three points behind league leaders Milan. “We are extremely happy to have taken three points against Catania and to travel to Milan ready to prove our worth,” said Hamsik. “We expect a difficult test against Milan but we want to give continuity to our results.”Napoli have won six of their last seven league games. The azzurri will again be without suspended striker Ezequiel Lavezzi.
