In the UK, leading fundraising firm The Weather Lottery has announced a sixth contract win for its FCBetz.com online gaming brand following the addition of Scottish Premier League soccer team Rangers.
The Doncaster-based company raises funds for non-profit organisations such as sports clubs, schools and universities and will now provide a full package of online gaming products to the reigning Scottish Premier League champions in addition to operating the Rangers Online Lottery under the newly launched FCLotto.co.uk brand, which was specially designed for the football market.
FCBetz.com was launched in early-August to expand and compliment the services offered to The Weather Lottery's existing clientele while helping these to acquire new clients via fans of some of the nation’s leading football clubs.
“We are very excited by this contract with Rangers,” said Tim Razzall, Chairman for The Weather Lottery.
“It holds an important position as a revered sporting institution both nationally and internationally. It is one of the two giants of Scottish football and its importance extends well beyond Scotland. It is regular participants in the ‘blue-ribbon’ event for European Football, the Champions League.”
This most recent contract follows the signing of English Championship clubs Leicester City, Coventry City, Middlesbrough and Derby County alongside League One team Sheffield Wednesday with the operator revealing that it has now added ‘significantly’ to the available market of players for its Sunshine and Lightening Lottery products.
“The combined FCBetz.com and FCLotto.co.uk products market partners' fan clubs, season ticket holders of Coventry City, Derby County, Leicester City, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough and now Rangers plus their databases and gives The Weather Lottery exposure to a significant potential user base,” said Keith Millhench, Chief Executive Officer for The Weather Lottery.
“The board believes that this further expansion will create additional revenues for the company. Negotiations are continuing with several other major football clubs and other societies. The board expects to make further announcements shortly in accordance with the AIM rules.”
