Betting Previews - Germany Bundesliga

Werder Bremen captain Clemens Fritz believes his side can continue to challenge Bayern Munich for the title this season, just as long as it focuses on itself. Three points currently separate the two sides at the top of the table with Bremen missing the chance to draw level with Bayern a fortnight ago when it lost 3-2 to Hannover. However, Fritz believes that defeat was a one off and Bremen is still going to have a say in where the title goes this year. "We want to strengthen our position at the top and we need points," he told eurosport.com. "After a difficult season last year, we must keep our focus on us. If we carry on working with such concentration as now, then anything is possible. Our aim is to get into Europe where we have been for the last five years and we want to be back there."

Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller has not ruled out his side's chances of defending their Bundesliga title, despite his side's current six-point deficit on the current league leader Bayern Munich. The two sides meet on November 19 and Weidenfeller has set his sights on reducing the deficit to just three points before that clash in the Allianz Arena. "It is possible that, after the Bayern game, we are suddenly level on points with them," he told Sport Bild magazine. "Why should we (give up hope)?" The 31-year-old has long since given up hope of gaining a place in the Germany national team, meanwhile. He was once again snubbed by Germany coach Joachim Low for his last squad selection.
