This is a big Black Country derby between a couple of rivals and I expect an explosive clash at St Andrews. Birmingham have become one of the more tougher sides to beat in the EPL and have had a terrific season, looking like they’ll settle comfortably into midtable. Wolves meanwhile, have struggled following promotion and are involved in the relegation battle. Birmingham have only won 1 of their last 6 games, despite having picked up some excellent results in this period against quality sides. They will eye this as an ideal chance to claim victory and I think they’ll have too much strength for Wolves to deal with.

The visitors are battling manfully week after week to avoid the drop and are certainly fighting hard, but I expect this’ll be a tough test. Mick McCarthy’s men are winless in 5 games and you are never totally convinced of their defensive qualities. Last weekend they did well to draw 2-2 away at Hull, coming form behind twice to snatch a point. But Birmingham are a much better side who will be strongly motivated today and seem to be an attractive price. It's always dangerous betting on derby games where sometimes anything can happen, but I have a strong feeling for Birmingham in this one. This St Andrews stadium has become quite a fortress and they are exceptionally difficult to penetrate here. Over the course of the 90 minutes I think they’ll have too much class and ultimately prevail.

Bet: Birmingham win @ 1.80
